What is the recommended age for these courses?
We recommend ages 14 and up. Or students in Junior High and above grades. Students younger can also benefit from these courses, but may likely need the assistance of a parent.
What is required/recommended before starting these courses?
The course content starts with circuit fundamentals and electricity. A basic knowledge of algebra will be valuable and useful as the student works through the lessons.
Do I need certain supplies or tools? How much do they cost and where do I purchase them?
Some materials will be required for the Arduino sessions. The approximate cost for a starter kit is about $60 including shipping. Once you are in the program, we have links to where you can purchase supplies.
Are there graded quizzes and tests within the platform?
There are labs and projects to work through but no quizzes and tests.
Does the membership fee cover the whole platform or just one course?
The membership fee is for the whole platform, with access to all 12 classrooms. Classrooms will be timed and released approximately one month apart.
